Washington public schools are partnering with Amazon Web Services in a statewide program to train and certify 2,500 high school students in cloud computing over the next three years, and the collaboration will include new course offerings across Washington state to train students in artificial intelligence, big data, machine learning, cybersecurity, and other cloud-related skills.

Deadlines are nearing for 15 awards and grants from the National Science Teacher Association for K–12 teachers and students in the sciences. There are 14 teacher awards open for applications/nominations and one award open to female students in grades 5–8. The deadlines for most are Dec. 15, 2021, with the remaining deadlines being December 17.
