AT&T Customers Can Earn "TechCredits" for Schools

The Computer Learning Foundation (CLF) and AT&T have a new program that lets consumers in eight pilot states allocate "TechCredits" to schools of their choice, which can be used to obtain free classroom technology products. "Technology for Education Program&emdash;A Community Partnership" is open to any accredited public, private or parochial K-12 school in California, Connect-icut, Florida, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island and South Carolina. TechCredits are accumulated in four ways: by using AT&T long-distance service, by redeeming AT&T True Rewards points, by purchasing AT&T Globalyst 300 Series TelePC desktop computers, or by making purchases at AT&T Phone Centers. Schools enrolling in the program before Nov. 30 will receive 10,000 bonus TechCredits. Computer Learning Foundation, Palo Alto, CA, (800) 438-4100.
