Multimedia Notebooks Are Optimized for Windows 95

Optimized for Windows 95, the Gateway Solo line of notebooks sport active-matrix screens, modular internal CD-ROM and floppy drives, lithium-ion batteries, a docking bar and a redesigned keyboard. The special keyboard includes shortcuts for running Windows 95 applications. For example, a Logo key by itself opens the Start menus, and the Application key brings up a context menu. All configurations are standard with a removable CD-ROM and/or 3.5" floppy drive, active-matrix VGA or SVGA display, 256K L2 cache and two PCMCIA Type II slots. The Gateway Solo ships with 8MB or 16MB of RAM and a Pentium 75MHz or 90MHz processor. An optional docking bar provides a one-connection solution to variety of peripherals.
