"Packs" Expand Functions Of Mathematica Application

The latest addition to the Mathematica Applications Library, the Time Series Pack collects ready-to-use algorithms designed for the analysis of time-dependent data. The pack handles both univariate and multivariate time series, letting researchers explore stationary and non-stationary models, estimate model parameters, forecast and perform spectral analysis. By plotting data over time, one can easily recognize correlation patterns among data elements. Also new, the Fuzzy Logic Pack facilitates the creation, modification and visualization of fuzzy sets and fuzzy logic-based systems. Introduced in 1965, the fuzzy logic theory models the uncertainty of natural language. Both packs require Mathematica 2.2 or later and are available for over 20 platforms.
