Wireless Bridge Links Distant LANs

OverLAN Wireless Bridge/IP Router provides a high-speed wireless link between two or more remote LANs up to 3 miles apart (10 miles with optional RF amplifiers) and eliminates the need for expensive leased lines.

At speeds of 2 Mbps, the system is up to 40% faster than traditional T1 circuits. With typical size data packets, more than double the throughput is achieved by the use of a special compression algorithm.

OverLAN Wireless includes all components and cables for installation and comes standard with DES encryption and SNMP management. Its CellWave Reliable Data Transfer algorithm routes Ethernet packets to the appropriate bridge without the data loss associated with most wireless bridges.

For campus area network applications, the bridge/router can be connected in a Base Station configuration, linking any number of buildings in a cell of up to 5 miles in diameter (20 miles with RF amplifiers).

OverLAN Wireless recently won the Editor's Choice Award from Network Computing Magazine after an in-depth testing of six entries in the wireless bridge market. The product is backed by a 30-day money-back guarantee. C-SPEC Corp., Dayton, OH, (800) GO S-PEC, www.c-spec.com/c-spec.
