4x CD-ROM Drive Suits Notebooks

A quad-speed portable CD-ROM drive, Panasonic's KXL-D740 connects to any notebook computer through its PCMCIA Type II slot, or to a desktop machine equipped with a SCSI II interface. The drive, weighing just 14 ounces, transfers data at a rate of 600KBps, with an access time of 295ms and memory buffer of 128K. It operates on six AA batteries, providing up to two hours of data and four hours of audio. A power save feature reverts to "sleep mode" after four minutes of non-use. Options include a NiCad Rechargeable Battery Pack and Multimedia Sound Kit. The KXL-D740 is backed by a two-year limited warranty.
