Schools Can Award Novell Certification

With the Novell Education Academic Partner (NEAP) program, any high school or college student can prepare to be a Certified Novell Administrator (CNA) via authorized training at participating secondary schools. More than 94,000 individuals have received certification in the last three years. "The NEAP and NEAP-Secondary programs give students the opportunity to best prepare for the job market with real-world, leading edge training in some of the fastest growing careers of the decade -- network support and administration," said Gary Clark, director of certification and authorization programs for Novell Education. Virginia Beach City Public Schools have participated in the NEAP-Secondary pilot program since 1994. Administrators report that students who passed the CNA exam were hired for IT jobs or even started their own businesses. Participating schools benefit from discounts on network software and instructor training, a free two-user version of NetWare 4.1 for instructor practice, regular communication with Novell through online forums and more.
