Create Virtual Reality Web Sites

Superscape VRT 4.0 includes VRML authoring capability for creating virtual reality applications such as VRML Web sites, which allow one to move around an environment in three dimensions using a browser.

The package also has a suite of editors -- no additional software is required to build a virtual world or application. Its Image Editor has new functions such as circle, draw, spray or fill for speeding creation of images and textures.

The new 4.0 release extends the list of head-mounted displays previously supported to include the Virtual I/O headset and others, enabling low-end virtual reality immersive applications.

An upgraded Virtual Clip Art Library has been added with contemporary objects. A highlight of this library is the addition of two virtual humans, a man and a woman, who can walk, run or climb stairs. Collision detection, i.e. the ability to detect surfaces, has been built-in. Superscape, Inc., Palo Alto, CA, (415) 812-9380, www.us.superscape.com. W
