Kodak Sponsors Imaging Grants

Primary and secondary schools worldwide can now apply for technology grants from Eastman Kodak through a pilot program aiming to foster the use of imaging and computer technology in today's classrooms.

Kodak products available under the program include digital cameras, CD media, thermal dye sublimation printers and film scanners, plus standard cameras and film.

Recipients will be selected based on innovative approaches to integrating imaging into the curriculum; measurable goals; measurement procedures for assessing results; the expected impact on teaching and learning; and the way in which Kodak products would be used.

Kodak requests that winning schools document the project's results and supply a report -- with images -- within four weeks of its conclusion; share information with other schools; and submit an article to an academic journal or make a presentation at an academic conference.

Accredited public or private institutions may obtain applications on the firm's Home Page, www.kodak.com (under "What's New").

Eastman Kodak Co., Rochester, NY, (716) 253-5983.
