NEC Projectors Include "InstaCare"

NEC Technologies unveiled a complete line of portable LCD projectors that weigh up to 25 pounds less than previous models. The new projectors --the MT Series and GT1200 -- deliver active-matrix TFT LCD technology in resolutions from 640 x 480 to 1280 x 1024 in 16.7 million colors. The MultiSync units can display compressed resolutions by arbitrarily dropping pixels across the image. Interlink's VersaPoint Remote, included, lets one control both the projector and the source (e.g., notebook computer). Screen menus on the MT series simplify setup and operation. NEC's InstaCare program, provided free for one year, assures that projectors will be replaced within 24 hours to minimize downtime. The new units include the MT600, specially priced for primary and secondary educators; the MT800, for superb presentations from a notebook machine; and the GT1200, for higher education and government applications.
