New Global Teaching Center Open in Texas

The Virtual Teaching Center, which opened in July, will train educators around the world with real-time, two-way audio and video telecommunications.

Located in Waco next to their Roney Teaching Center, the VTC allows CORD (Center for Occupational Research) to deliver its teacher training services in contextual education and related methodologies.

CORD, a non-profit, has hosted workshops for more 6,000 educators since 1993, and has been developing new targeted curriculum materials and processes for 15 years. Contact the VTC for workshop dates and details.

PictureTel videoconferencing units deliver the VTC's training via relatively low-cost phone lines (T1, ISDN), so receiving sites do not need costly satellite dishes nor downlink hardware. CORD Communications/VTC, Waco, TX, (817) 776-1822.
