International Channel Eliminates Most Fees

International Channel (IC) has eliminated subscriber fees for American colleges and universities. Qualifying institutions now pay only a $100 annual administration fee to receive the service.

ICís programming includes news, sports and entertainment in 29 Asian, European and Middle Eastern languages. Educators may use it to supplement foreign language and world affairs instruction, or as a resource for international students to keep in touch with their homelands.

To subscribe to the channel, one can log onto the IC web site (www.i-channel.com), which contains an agreement letter, billing forms, schedule and other materials. International Channel is a service of Encore Media, a joint venture between JJS Communications and Liberty Media. International Communications, Englewood, CO, (303) 267-5850
