NGS Kids Network Adds Grades 6-9

National Geographic Kids Network is an award-winning international telecommunications science program for elementary schools.

Last fall, new curricula for middle school students (grades 6-9) was launched, thus furthering this inspirational program's reach.

Four science units comprise the new curricula: What Is Our Soil Good For?, Is Our Water at Risk?, Are We Getting Enough Oxygen? and How Loud Is Too Loud?

The NGS Kids Network uses the Internet and e-mail to connect learners in collaborative projects on real scientific problems.

New this year is NGS Works, an integrated software package for accessing the Internet that also includes specialized tools to support the curriculum.
