New Releases - Microsoft Solutions Workshops for Education

Microsoft has released their latest version of Microsoft Office. Bearing educators and students in mind, Microsoft Office 2000 presents new tools and features to enhance collaboration and information access. Microsoft Office 2000 Standard Edition includes Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook. The Professional Edition adds Microsoft Access and Microsoft Publisher to the above. Additionally, the following free resources are being offered to help teachers and students use Office 2000 applications.

  • In and Out of the Classroom with Microsoft Office 2000 (www.microsoft.com/education/curric/office2k/) offers tips and suggestions for how Microsoft Office works in different teaching and learning environments.
  • www.microsoft.com/education/curric/workshop/) are a series of twelve workshops, where educators can get step-by-step instruction on how Office 2000 can enhance teaching and learning.
  • Office 2000 Registration Wizard (www.microsoft.com/education/products/orw/) makes use of new anti-piracy technology, which will help technology coordinators better control software assets and improve license management capabilities.
  • Teaching and Learning with Microsoft 2-CD set (www.microsoft.com/eduation/k12/cdoffer.htm) is free of cost while supplies last. It is loaded with education-specific tools, templates and training materials to help teachers, students and administrators integrate Microsoft applications into everyday practices.
