On the other end of the handheld spectrum, we have Franklin's Merriam-Webster Dictionary & Thesaurus Pocket Model. It features definitions for more than 100,000 words (many hyperlinked to the Thesauras), a five-line display capable of presenting rudimentary graphics, a SAT word list, four learning exercises, nine word games, a calculator and metric converter. Weighing just four oz., this very handy unit fits in a shirt pocket, ready for quick access when reading texts or writing papers.

What sets this model apart from other dictionary/thesaurus units is Franklin's BOOKMAN card slot set in the back of the unit, which lets you snap in a domino-sized book card, giving access to 25 additional titles.
