News Releases - Canon U.S.A., Inc.

The DZ-3600U from Canon is a high resolution imaging system that can capture an entire 8" x 11" document, legible to 8 pt. type, and transmit intricate details to your computer that are virtually invisible to the naked eye. The camera features high-speed image capture, allowing users to quickly display images for sharing and collaboration. Canon’s patented Parallel Plate Variable Refraction Optical System technology allows users to capture images from a wide variety of media including documents, schematics, X-rays and 3-D objects.

When used with Microsoft’s NetMeeting software, these images can be transmitted almost instantly to anywhere on earth so viewers can meet over the Internet in real time. NetMeeting’s video/audio conferencing features allow users to collaborate via graphic information in real time using the NetMeeting Whiteboard. They can share multiple programs during a conference and control the DZ-3600U over the Internet, adjusting the picture as if they were in the same room.
