From Virtual Ink Corp., Mimio BoardCast is a Web content creation tool for the RealSystem G2 platform. Mimio is a 24” capture bar that fits onto a whiteboard and connects to a PC to capture whiteboard content digitally. BoardCast then streams handwritten color drawings and text as real-time data from Mimio-enabled whiteboards. The program can synchronize this text with voice, and stream it over the Web to RealNetworks RealPlayer 7 users. The joint voice and ink streaming technology was developed with distance learning in mind, and requires very little bandwidth. Presenters can stream BoardCast media live, archive it for on-demand viewing, or both.
