Canvas 8 Professional Edition

Canvas 8 Professional Edition for Mac OS X from Deneba Software is a cross-platform, precision-illustration program that integrates photo editing, page layout, presentation and Web graphics capabilities into one seamless application. This latest release of Canvas supports animation through AppleScript of anything from downloaded files off the Internet to files for use in print or on the Web. The new Sequence recorder/player lets even "newbies" record and automate complex actions quickly and reliably. Canvas' integrated vector and raster environment provides users with the ability to produce complex Sequences within a single application that can involve many actions, filters and effects. The new version also features expanded context-sensitive menus that allow faster access to tools, filters and effects. Complex inks such as textures, vector symbols, hatches and gradients can now be "painted on" with the airbrush, marker, paintbrush and paint bucket tools. For the Web, Canvas includes a manual Image Slicer that is also fully integrated into Canvas' enhanced, automated HTML export capabilities. Direct support for Flash is also now standard in Canvas 8 for OS X. Deneba Software, Miami, FL, (305) 596-5644, www.deneba.com.
