AQIP Delivers Web-Based Action Project Directory

The Higher Learning Commission’s Academic Quality Improvement Project (AQIP) is now offering the Action Project Directory (www.aqip.org/actionproject), a repository for all Action Projects that Higher Learning Commission-accredited schools have chosen to work on as part of their AQIP re-accreditation. AQIP was developed in 1999 with the support of a grant from The Pew Charitable Trusts and allows an already accredited institution to align its continual improvement initiative with its re-accreditation efforts. As an integral part of the process, each institution must work toward improving and enhancing their systems and processes to better support their mission.

In addition, attending a supportive, facilitated peer-review process known as the Strategy Forum helps institutions select, examine and commit to Action Projects that will drive quality improvement. The goals, centered on the nine AQIP criteria, which are separate from The Higher Learning Commission’s criteria for accreditation, must always include one project centered on teaching and learning.
