Classroom Connect Launches Web-Based Instructional Program

Classroom Connect, part of Harcourt Education, has announced the nationwide availability of Connected Tech, a Web-based instructional program for grades K-8 that is aligned to ISTE’s NETS for students. Connected Tech offers districts and states an effective and affordable way to help students learn lifelong technology application skills, while also meeting the need to improve overall student achievement in reading, math, science and social studies.

The program launched with more than 450 tutorials, lessons, projects and assessments that teachers can use to help their students learn essential technology programs, including AppleWorks, Inspiration, FileMaker Pro and Microsoft Office  applications. Each application is used within Connected Tech where it’s most grade appropriate, helping to seamlessly integrate technology into the core curriculum. Connected Tech requires minimal classroom preparation time for teachers, though they can customize their own assignment sets depending on their time and interest in doing so. Connected Tech is part of Classroom Connect’s Technology Integration solution that also includes online, face-to-face and print professional development options for K-12 educators.
