AIM Education Acquires 3 Educational Video Lines, Expands Offerings

##AUTHORSPLIT##<--->

AIM Education, a new division of AIM Learning Group, has set its sights on providing a broader range of visual media to the education market in the United States. The company announced Wednesday that it's acquiring the educational video product lines Sunburst Visual Media, Learn360, and Teacher's Media Company, all from School Specialty Inc.

Sunburst Visual Media and Teacher's Media Company have been around for a combined five decades, while Learn360--an Internet-based streaming video subscription service for K-12 schools--was launched just this January. The acquisition of the companies will add digital, video, and print media products to AIM Education's product line.

"AIM has been distributing Sunburst Visual Media products in Canada for years, so we know firsthand that we have high quality, teachers' favorite content that we can easily continue to build upon," said John Fisher, Chief Executive Officer of AIM Learning Group, Inc., in a prepared statement. "Video streaming is an exciting revolution for schools that can significantly decrease how much they pay per student for visual media and provide content in a more efficient and effective way than before. Schools are ready for it and Learn360 is the new best-in-class with a lot to offer education customers."

According to the The company, AIM plans to tap into their existing resources and expertise in the visual media market in order to grow the brands and expand their business. With AIM Education sister companies that include Criterion Pictures, International Tele-Film, and Visual Education Center Limited, for example, the acquisition will add more than 1,000 titles to the Learn360 library. Some of the new titles include Criterion Pictures' children's literature programs, Franklin Series, The Berenstain Bears Series, and Connect with Kids Series, among others.
