GoKnow Customizes Mobile Learning Environment For Companion PC

##AUTHORSPLIT##<--->

M&A Technology has partnered with educational software provider GoKnow. Under the agreement, GoKnow will release a version of its Mobile Learning Environment (MLE), customized for use on the Companion PC--a ruggedized laptop based on the Intel-powered Classmate PC.

GoKnow's customized MLE will allow teachers to transfer their entire curriculum onto the Companion PCs, giving them the ability to monitor student progress throughout the course of the school year. The platform also allows for differentiated learning, giving teachers the flexibility to customize lessons for individual students. Additionally, the company will offer professional development opportunities, intended to help educators maximize their use of the MLE.

According to M&A Technology, the newest version of the Companion PC laptop will be based on the new Intel ATOM processor, with prices starting at $499. GoKnow said it plans to release the customized MLE this fall.
