##AUTHORSPLIT##<--->
Teachers Domain, a free online resource for educators, has announced expanded content in science, math, art, social studies, and language arts. The online library is also launching two new editions: Teachers' Domain College Edition, designed for higher education, and VITAL New York on Teachers' Domain, providing resources for New York teachers that are aligned with the state's core curriculum.
Teachers' Domain was developed by Boston public television station WGBH, and serves more than 260,000 registered users nationwide. The Web site provides more than 1,500 digital media resources, with content from a variety of PBS shows, including NOVA, Frontline, and American Experience, among others. The site also provides professional development courses created by WGBH.
Expanded content on the site includes open educational resources, such as audio and video clips, that are being made available for download, modification, and sharing. The site also offers teacher lesson plans, background essays, study questions, and classroom activities.
Teachers' Domain is a Pathways Project of the National Science Digital Library (NSDL), with all resources made available free of charge to registered users.
