ePals, Privacy Networks Partner for School E-Mail Management
##AUTHORSPLIT##<--->
ePals has announced a partnership with Privacy Networks aimed at providing a searchable e-mail archiving solution to K-12 institutions using the ePals SchoolMail platform.
According to the announcement, Privacy Networks PrivacyVault solution creates an auditable archive of all inbound, outbound, and internal e-mail communications. Users can search both message and attachment content through an interface similar to an Internet search engine, locating information in a single user account or across the entire district. The system also allows administrators to set e-mail retention periods to comply with district policies.
"We have built an open solution that allows any district to couple their free ePals SchoolMail service with e-mail archiving providers," said Victoria McEachern, Director of Sales for ePals, in a prepared statement. "We believe districts should be able to choose from 'best of breed' vendors, like Privacy Networks, for an important need such as archiving."
According to Privacy Networks, the ePals partnership is intended to streamline the archiving and retrieval process for districts using the SchoolMail platform. At the time of this writing pricing was not available.
