SONY ELECTRONICS has come out with PCS-XG80 Version 2.03, the newest version of its high-definition videoconferencing system. The device is now compatible with both high-definition and mixed-format audio environments, and has the ability to maintain a connection even when minimal bandwidth is available. PCS-XG80 Version 2.03 also supports a variety of existing and emerging videoconferencing applications, including high-definition 3-D telepresence, broad-scale desktop video collaboration, and traditional videoconferencing. And with the system’s six-site, multipoint conferencing feature, users can call up to five remote sites for one meeting. Price: $8,999.
