Publisher Releases Mobile Games for Preschoolers

The Learning Co., a division of educational publisher Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (HMH), has released four new mobile games to help preschoolers play and learn on the Apple iPhone and iPad mobile devices. The games seek to help build several of the skills that are usually prevalent in educating two- to four-year-olds, including memory; motor skills; and spatial, visual, and geometric relationships.

The games include:

  • George's Curious Climb!--Players race to have the character Curious George climb buildings and wash windows while avoiding falling obstacles;
  • Gossie's Eggcellent Parade--Players dress Gossie the Gosling for an animal parade and guide her through a maze to collect all of her barnyard friends to join her;
  • Ollie Ollie Oxen Free--Players follow audio and visual clues to find five animals playing hide-and-seek around the barnyard; and
  • Go George Go!--Players send Curious George through a series of mazes.

All four games are available now as downloadable mobile apps on iTunes, priced at $2.99 each for the iPhone and $3.99 each for the iPad.
