Orchard Now Releases Remedial Math Instruction

Orchard Learning has released remedial math instructional activities for Orchard Now, the company's Web-based assessment and instruction tool.

Orchard Now is a suite of online tools that allows teachers to pre-assess students and then places them in customized learning environments with activities, practice, and post-assessment. It also automates data collecting, analysis, and reporting.

The new instructional activities are for grades 1 through 3 and will mirror the activities for students who are on grade level, though the graphic presentations are appropriate for older students.

The multimedia math content is aligned to standards published by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. Areas covered by Orchard Now include:

  • Number sense;
  • Numeration;
  • Patterning and algebra;
  • Geometry;
  • Data management and probability; and
  • Measurement.
