PD Online Adds RtI, Formative Assessment Courses for Teachers

ASCD has added four new courses to PD Online, the company's series of professional development courses for educators.

The new courses are The Art and Science of Teaching, Understanding by Design: An Introduction, Response to Intervention: An Introduction, and Formative Assessment: Deepening Understanding.

PD Online's self-paced courses are available for individuals, small learning communities, and entire districts and can be integrated into university courses. Each course includes audio and video, real classroom examples, exercises, reading material, and access to an online forum. Each one equals 20 professional development clock hours and can be applied toward continuing education units or college credit. PD Online also provides an integrated LMS for administrators to monitor participants' progress.

The new courses cost $99 each. For more information or to see a sample course, visit ASCD's site.
