My Dream Machine Adds Goal Tracking to Social Networks

Super Star Learning Company has launched My Dream Machine, an online service designed to help users set and achieve goals, form teams, and track progress.

The new service, billed by the company as a social achievement platform, provides users with tools to create a course of action, collaborate with peers, and design and set goals that can be broken down into achievement levels.

Super Star Learning will also be releasing a version of My Dream Machine tailored specifically to K-12 students and another for students in higher education in August. Currently, the service is available to 50,000 students through the company's online social learning community, Room 21.

Features of My Dream Machine include:

  • Facebook integration allows users to instantly publish dreams to the service, receive feedback from friends, and immediately turn Facebook friends into members of their dream team;
  • A benchmark and tracking system adds timelines and dates to each dream to show the user the steps they need to take within a timeframe;
  • Reminders of upcoming deadlines for goals and dream benchmarks; and
  • An encouragement wall for dream team members to post supportive comments.

My Dream Machine is free, but Room 21 costs $8 per student. Customizable grants for the program are also available at superstarlearning.com.
