PD 360 Adds E-portfolio Feature

School Improvement Network, which sells a video-based professional development service for teachers, has added an e-portfolio feature to its product that enables users to create, share, and track implementation of their individual professional learning plans. My Portfolio, which has been introduced into PD 360, lets an instructor create a professional learning plan and share the plan with others across departments, schools, and districts.

The service also generates reports of plans and what has been completed. With the e-portfolio, the user can track and report on videos watched, observations completed, courses completed, and files and resources uploaded into groups and forums, as well as upload lesson plans, student work documents, and journal entries.

PD 360 has 1,800 videos covering 117 topics with education best practices and classroom examples.

Among the schools and districts using the product in their professional development efforts are Pitt County Schools in North Carolina, Collier County Public Schools in Florida, Cupertino Union School District in California, and Irving Independent School District in Texas.
