Apex Learning Debuts New Tutorials for Blended Classrooms

Apex Learning, a provider of tools for virtual and blended learning, is expanding its line of math and English language arts tutorials for students in grades 6-8.

Designed for blended environments and compatible with Android and iOS devices, netbooks, laptops, and desktop computers, the tutorials feature an "interactive app-like design" that "offers an innovative approach to instruction, practice, review and assessment that engages today's tech-savvy students," according to a news release.

"I absolutely believe Tutorials are helping me to be a more effective teacher," said Daniel Gerds, math teacher at Cedar Ridge High School in Round Rock Independent School District in Texas. "The Tutorials provide critical information teachers need to ensure students are getting the right instruction at the right time."

The new middle school tutorials will be available for the 2014-2015 school year. Tutorials for students in grades 9-12 are currently available.
