NetSupport's Chrome Device Manager Now Supports Management from Chrome Devices

NetSupport has released its latest classroom management app for Chromebooks -- this one allowing remote management and control from Chrome devices, not just Macs and PCs.

The NetSupport School Tutor app for Chrome OS lets teachers remotely interact and engage with student Chromebooks from their own Chrome device. Teachers can view thumbnail-sized versions of each student’s device in a single view, and can zoom in for a closer look. Additional features include Internet control and blocking, chat, and a class survey function.

The app is already in use on more than 14,000 student Chromebooks, but until now management capabilities were only accessible via Windows or Mac devices.

"As the computing landscape in the modern classroom continues to evolve, the challenge for classroom management vendors is to ensure their teaching solutions keep pace – not only through the range of features offered that support, but also in delivering compatibility with the varied mix of technology in use," said Al Kingsley, the company’s managing director in a statement.
