SETDA Names Board for 2014-2015

The State Educational Technology Directors Association (SETDA) has selected its board of directors and officers for the 2014-2015 year.

The Vermont Agency of Education's Peter Drescher will move from secretary of the board to chair. Carla Wade, of the Oregon Department of Education and previous SETDA board member, will be the new chair-elect. Julia Fallon, from the Washington Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction, will take on the role of secretary after previously serving as an at-large board member. Emeritus Board Member David Walddon, also of the Washington Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction, will now serve as treasurer.

At-large board members for the new year include:

"A hallmark of SETDA's strength is its commitment to state leadership in education," stated Douglas Levin, SETDA executive director, in a prepared statement. "The SETDA Board of Directors is excited to work with state and national leaders to advance school improvement and reform efforts in the states through the implementation of smart technology policy and practice."
