Curriki Debuts 3 OER Math Curricula

Curriki has launched three new supplemental math curricula aligned to the Common Core State Standards and created using 1,422 open educational resources (OER).

The new collections, Curriki Pre-Algebra, Curriki Geometry and Curriki Algebra 1, include video instruction, practice materials and exercises.

"In the spirit of OERs, Curriki encourages educators and districts to adapt the materials to meet their own needs," according to a news release, and the company suggests that the free materials may be used to flip math classes, as a supplement to an existing curriculum, to build a whole new curriculum or for students to augment their studies or move ahead of the class.

AT&T provided support for the creation of the collections as part of its Aspire education initiative.

"We want to provide teachers, students and parents with access to high quality digital resources that support learning in new and more effective ways," said Nicole Anderson, executive director of philanthropy at AT&T, in a prepared statement. "Curriki's free and online curated math collections will help students build their knowledge anytime and anywhere."
