Haiku Learning, GoSignMeUp Partner on PD Delivery

Digital learning platform provider Haiku Learning and GoSignMeUp, a company that offers online workshops and training registration tools, have partnered in an effort to make it easier for K-12 districts to provide professional development courses for teachers.

The partnership is designed to make it easier to deliver online courses, registration, credit tracking, transcript reporting and payment support. It is also designed to allow districts to scale PD efforts and offer them to other schools and districts for payment.

"Haiku Learning enables contextualized learning experiences that make it easier for teachers to foster the connective, deeper learning needed to develop 21st century learners," according to a news release. "Teachers and students can easily embed hundreds of web 2.0 apps, so everyone learns to become content creators and Web publishers. A suite of discussion forum options help facilitate peer collaboration, and there's a variety of formative and summative assessments. For teachers and administrators, analytics dashboards help track activity and performance."

GoSignMeUp offers a simplified registration process and automated features such as email reminders and confirmations, class lists and transcripts, among others. Other features include multiple student- and class-level reports, financial analysis, custom email lists and email certificates that can be sent automatically upon completion of a course.

"For schools, this gives them a seamless professional development solution from end to end," said Bryan Falcón, CEO and cofounder of Haiku Learning, in a prepared statement. "GoSignMeUp gives administrators powerful tools to manage registration and closeout, while Haiku Learning takes care of everything in between, giving educators a 21st century digital learning platform with the tools they need for today's classroom."
