PresenceLearning Launches New Fall Webinar Series

PresenceLearning, a provider of telemedicine and tele-health services in education and healthcare, is launching a free, three-part webinar series for special education leaders this fall.

The series, “Results Matter — Closing the Achievement Gap,” will kick off Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 10 a.m. Pacific Standard Time with “Results Driven Accountability (RDA): Where Were We? Where Are We? Where Do We Go Next?” presented by RDA expert Alan Coulter, associate professor at Louisiana State University’s Health Science and Human Development Center, and an expert on RDA. Clay Whitehead, co-CEO and co-founder of PresenceLearning, will serve as moderator.

To register for the webinar, visit PresenceLearning’s site for the RDA talk. Registration is strongly recommended, and will close half an hour prior to the event.

During the webinar, Coulter will discuss the current state of RDA and how it is affecting special education leaders, as well as where RDA is heading and how educators can prepare for it.

After completion, attendees of the webinar should be able to:

  • Identify and list the four primary purposes of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and its predecessors, the federal laws concerning children with disabilities in schools and the current approaches to accountability;
  • Summarize and describe the structure and phases of the state systemic improvement plan and its relationship to RDA; and
  • Apply three actions that support the principles of RDA in their professional practice.

The next two webinars are Tuesday, Oct. 25 and Tuesday, Dec. 6, both at 11 a.m. PST. The topics are as follows:

Again, registration is strongly recommended. Visit the links above to register.
