PBLWorks Debuts Unit on Hunger and Malnutrition

PBLWorks is working with Students Rebuild to provide students with resources to learn about hunger and malnutrition issues around the world. The Hunger Challenge encourages teachers to work with their students to develop potential solutions to hunger and malnutrition issues and create a work of art to showcase their results.

For every piece of artwork submitted, the Bezos Family Foundation will donate $3 to youth-focused nutrition programs.  The foundation will donate up to $700,000 in total to support UNICEF programs in Yemen and Ethiopia and to expand Mary's Meals' school-based nutrition initiatives in India and Malawi. Students Rebuild is a program funded by the foundation.

The PBL unit is designed for students in English, math and science classes. The Hunger Challenge runs through June 5, 2020.
