LINQ Moves ERP System to Cloud

Education technology company LINQ said it will be moving its enterprise resource planning suite of products to the cloud in January for all of its customers. The company, which produces a K-12-specific ERP system, is making the transition to enable district and school administrators and staff members to work from anywhere.

The cloud version already exists for its customers in North Carolina, where the company is based.

LINQ's software provides functionality for managing accounting, finance, human resources, nutrition, payments, registration and websites.

As part of a beta test process LINQ customer Wyoming Public Schools in Michigan made the shift from the legacy version of the product to its cloud-based version.

"It's great having a web-based solution," said Debra Sellers, the technology software support specialist for the district, in a press release. "[Switching from the legacy product] was the easiest transition ever."

"The core mission of LINQ has always been to simplify the jobs of school administrators so they can then focus their attention on ensuring students have an educational environment that nourishes them and offers abundant opportunities," added Adam Hooks, LINQ president of ERP and Digital. "By moving our ERP platform to the cloud, we are enabling districts to having greater flexibility and ramping up productivity."
