Expanded Imagine Learning Classroom Platform Combines Core ELA Math Curriculum Solutions

Imagine Learning, a top provider of digital curricula serving 15 million K–12 students nationwide, today launched a new platform for its core English Language Arts and mathematics solutions, called Imagine Learning Classroom, combining the resources formerly known as LearnZillion with Imagine Learning Illustrative Mathematics, Imagine Learning EL Education, Imagine Learning Odell Education, and Imagine Learning Guidebooks, a company official told THE Journal in an exclusive interview.

Imagine Learning initially was introduced last year as the former Weld North Education acquired and combined its solutions, including LearnZillion, Edgenuity, Study Sync, and Twig Education.

Now, what began as the LearnZillion online database of open education resources and short video lessons aligned to each state’s Common Core standards has grown into a core curriculum platform emphasizing ELA and math breakthroughs, with a turnkey solution for teachers that supports each state’s curricula standards and instructional design and allows educators to personalize and customize instruction, Imagine Learning Senior Vice President & GM Terry Gilligan told THE Journal.

The expanded Imagine Learning Classroom platform includes more interactive lessons and videos and an updated user experience for students and teachers, including an overhauled platform specifically for elementary students, Gilligan said.

“Schools that previously used LearnZillion will now be redirected to Imagine Learning Classroom with no disruption in their experience,” he explained. “The new Imagine Learning Classroom experience has been enhanced with an updated browser and navigation experience. Imagine Learning Classroom will continuously use user feedback to drive future development and updates.”

The core curriculum solutions were built around Common Core state standards, and Imagine Learning Classroom connects to some state-specific standards as well, with more coming online later this year, Gilligan noted.

“Imagine Learning Illustrative Mathematics was built around the Common Core State Standards, but we do correlate to many state standards, and those correlations are visible within the digital application,” he explained. “For example, Imagine Learning Classroom can be configured to show the Georgia state standards to Georgia schools and districts. We have correlations completed for several states, and we’re working on additional correlations over the coming months.”

Imagine Learning Classroom includes the following core solutions:
