Website and Communications Provider Edlio Acquires App-Maker SchoolInfo, Expands K-12 Product Suite

K–12 CMS website, digital payments, and communications provider Edlio has acquired SchoolInfo, which makes mobile app solutions for schools and districts, the companies announced in a news release.

SchoolInfo, based in Ruston, Louisiana, has created mobile apps for more than 2,500 schools, districts, and other education organizations, according to its website. Edlio, with offices in California, Texas, and Virginia, as well as Mexico City and Vancouver, did not disclose terms of the deal.

Edlio, whose solutions are used by more than K–12 16,000 schools across North America, said it is launching a new product called Edlio Access that allows K–12 schools to host their own branded app with two-way communication, security features such as Hall Pass and Wellness Screener, and direct access to school information and updates.

Schools using Edlio solutions “will now be able to consolidate their digital communications, payments, and website tools under one vendor,” the company said.

Existing SchoolInfo customers have immediate access to Edlio’s support solutions, including dedicated client success specialists, unlimited access to technical support, and self-paced learning resources for each of Edlio’s tech products, the companies said.
