PVTV Learning Studio from ParkerVision, a new live television automated and computerized system, teaches middle and high school students how to plan, preview and execute all phases of TV production. Students can work individually or in teams to produce programs including public service announcements, promotions for a school event, or even produce and direct an entire news broadcast.

Specifically, the system teaches students how to control multiple TV cameras, video switching, digital video effects, audio mixing, Teleprompter scripts, character generators and videotape machines. It comes with materials that include a teacher’s guide, student workbooks and a CD-ROM linked to the site. This helps to eliminate downtime because students can work online or complete a classroom assignment when not involved in actual PVTV production.
