StudentWatch Tracks School Safety

PublicSchoolWorks, a company that develops safety and regulatory compliance tools, has released a new Web-based system for tracking and reporting on student safety issues, from bullying to sports-related accidents. The new system, StudentWatch Suite, combines online tools with phone support, training, and compliance management services.

StudentWatch Suite comprises four primary components. These include:

  • Student Bullying Reporting System, with provides online and telephone support for parents and students and reporting and resolution outcome tracking for administrators;
  • Student Helpline Reporting System, which provides crisis resources for students and allows them to report school safety issues and provides reports and tracking features for administrators;
  • Student Accident Reporting System, designed for accident prevention and management, including trends reporting, accident reporting, documentation of incidents (including treatment and witness statements), and tracking of attendance related to accidents;
  • Student Behavior Management System, an automatic behavior referral management, documentation, and reporting system.

The company reported that the system has been piloted in "several" school districts already. StudentWatch Suite is available now, with pricing around $3,000 for an "average" school district.
