New CD-R Bundle Supports Many OSs

Elektroson, a leader in CD recordable/erasable software products has released a GEAR Multi-OS Desktop Bundle.

The package includes GEAR CD-Recordable software for Windows 95, NT and 3.1; Mac OS and Power Mac; and OS/2 Warp. Available in four languages ¬ English, German, French, and Japanese ¬ the bundle is suited for multimedia publishers, audio recording studios, pre-press and data storage applications.

All platforms support ISO 9660 conventions and carry an extensive array of multimedia features. GEAR supports Multisession, FS, Shared Hybrid, Enhanced CD (CD+), Digital Audio, Video CD, CD-i and custom multimedia formats including game titles from Sony, Sega, Nintendo and others.

The CD-R software offers advanced features such as interleaving, archiving, a scripting language, extensive error-code reporting, verify-after-write, jukebox and transporter support, DDP premaster output and sector- level layout.
