Parents, Staff & Students Benefit with District-Wide System

EduSource 2000 2.0, from Educational Technology Solutions, is a client/server-based open and scalable system that leverages an Oracle database to fully integrate the financial, human resource, payroll, SIS and student assessment functions of a school district.

The software enables easy system automation, simplifies budget planning, produces executive summaries and Board reports and assists in day-to-day administration tasks. "EduSource 2000 g'es beyond typical applications because it can be embedded into all levels of a school district, from the desktop of a student or teacher to the administrative office and even the home," said Susanne Andresen, CEO of Educational Technology Solutions.

The system lets students track their own progress, evaluate performance against teacher goals and continue their studies at home with available distance learning tools. Voice and video can also be added to the system, resulting in a multimedia-rich environment where students can take advantage of electronic publishing and collaborative learning. Parents also benefit from EduSource 2000, gaining the ability to securely access their children's information from a school's Web page and view schedules, grades, attendance information and contact teachers.
