Power Supply SW Gives On-screen Info

CheckUPS II, from Best Power, gives system administrators enhanced capabilities for uninterruptible power systems (UPS) monitoring and unattended system shutdown for most popular operating systems. According to Tom Thiele, Best Power product manager, the CheckUPS II Suite Graphic Display Module, which provides a complete record of critical power events and UPS activity on-screen, helps spot, diagnose and react more effectively to problems as they happen.

Some updates to the software include: easy-to-read graphics that indicate system status; a live block diagram showing power flow; new screens allowing significantly more software parameter settings; and French, Italian, German and Spanish translations. CheckUPS II Software Suite Version 3.0 supports DOS, Windows 3.1x/95/NT, OS/2, Novell and UNIX, and includes online manuals and help. The software is included free with all Best Power connectivity-ready single-phase UPSs. Best Power, Necedah, WI, (800) 356-5794, www.bestpower.com.
