Hands-On - National Instruments

National Instruments has introduced a color acquisition board that maintains high-performance, high-quality image captures despite lighting variations. The IMAQ PCI-1411 offers real-time color conversion of NTSC, PAL and S-Video formats to the hue, saturation and luminance (HSL) image planes.

With real-time color conversion to HSL image planes and partial image acquisition with programmable region of interest, the board improves overall image acquisition and image processing speed. It excels when lighting is inconsistent or when shadows, reflections and lighting gradients could occur within the image scene. The IMAQ PCI-1411 is shipped with easy to use NI-IMAQ driver level software, which offers a comprehensive software interface for image acquisition.
