Faculty at Purdue University have shown that delivering homework over the Internet improves student test scores by as much as 10%. In a paper titled "Automated Homework in Electrical Engineering Technology," published in the ASEE 1999 Proceedings, they also showed that students prefer to do computerized homework via the Internet. Additionally, administrative time was reduced significantly. The study, conducted by the Department of Electrical Engineering Technology at Purdue University, examined the use of Test Pilot, an Internet-based testing and assessment program from ClearLearning.com.
