Service Provides Tiered Filtering

FamilyClick is an Internet service for families that features layered technical protection and filtered e-mail. It uses a two-step process: a filtering process to check sites against a daily-updated database of inappropriate URLs, and a patented Dynamic Document Review to provide additional protection. This process scans pages in real time and reviews the proximity of words to each other, blocking content deemed inappropriate. This filtering system can be applied not only to Web sites, but also to Web-based e-mail and HTML-based chat rooms. FamilyClick also provides tiered access levels so that teachers or parents can determine the level of filtering most appropriate for their children. Five different access levels are offered, based on content appropriate for specific ages. FamilyClick, Virginia Beach, VA, (800) 4-FAMILY, www.familyclick.com.
