Houghton Mifflin Launches Learning Technology Division

3/14/2007—Boston-based educational publisher Houghton Mifflin Company has launched Houghton Mifflin Learning Technology, an integrated learning division geared to produce print and technology-based learning tools.

The announcement comes on the heels of Houghton Mifflin's merger with Web and CD-ROM learning tool publisher Riverdeep (San Francisco). The new division will produce interactive preK–12 learning products.

With a portfolio of curriculum-based technology products and services in all subject areas, Houghton Mifflin Learning Technology will provide ways to help educators integrate core and supplemental instruction, intervention, assessment and reporting, professional development, and school-to-home connections.

Houghton Mifflin's offerings includes Destination Reading, Destination Math, Earobics, SkillsTutor, Larson Learning, and Learning Village, as well as the Edmark House Series and other supplemental technology titles such as Reader Rabbit, Oregon Trail, and Carmen Sandiego.
