IAF To Reward 21st Century Skills with 21st Century Gadgets

The Innovation America Foundation is looking to encourage 21st-century skills in high school students. With the help of Apple, the organization has launched "Voices of Innovation," a contest calling on students to produce videos on the subject of improving the world through innovative thinking.

The contest calls on students to produce 45-second spots answering the question, "How can you improve your world through innovation?" And, in particular, "how innovation sparks American ingenuity and continued global leadership."

Submissions will be judged by a panel of governors and CEOs, according to the company, and submissions will appear on IAF's website, Apple's Student Gallery website, the Apple Learning Interchange, and the iTunes podcast directory. Five grand prize winners will win Apple iPod Nanos, Final Cut Studio, iLife '08, and iWork '08. Fifteen honorable mention winners will receive Apple iPod Shuffles, iLife '08, and iWork '08.
